Local residents started St Peters Netball Club in 1969. In 1975 Lapstone Glenbrook Netball Club (LGNC) was formed from Lapstone and Glenbrook Primary School based teams and the St Peters Netball Club. The emphasis of LGNC is for our players to enjoy taking part in a team sport whilst at the same time developing netball skills to their full potential.
We like to think of ourselves as the friendly Club and go out of our way to see that players have a positive experience playing netball. LGNC mainly draws players from the Glenbrook and Lapstone areas in addition to Emu Plains and Leonay, but of course players from any area are welcome to join the Club.
Registration takes place on the last weekend in January or the first weekend in February. A one-off fee is payable, which covers the entire season with no ongoing payments. There is also a charge to purchase the uniform and the club tries to keep costs low. Details are published in the BM Gazette at the beginning of each season, on this website, and facebook. Netball is played on Saturdays from March/April to August/September at the Lapstone Netball Courts, Tunnel Gully Reserve, Explorers Road, Lapstone. Training for LGNC teams is generally determined by coaches and parents/players at the beginning of each season. Women, men, boys and girls over 13 can play in a twilight netball competition from October to December. Just speak to someone from the Club or come to one of our meetings to find out how friendly and approachable we can be.
